My baby iguana sometimes gets to nervous when I try to hold her, help me?

She has been with me for almost a week now, I bougth her a under tank heating pad, and all she needs to be healthy, she has been eating just fine, my only concern is that sometimes when I try to hold her and carry her she gets really agitated, I have to stay with her with one hand outside the tank and the otherone inside, talking to her and things like that in order for her to let me touch her and hold her, is that normal?? I know that it takes time to tame her, but I want to know if there's something I can do to make her fell more comfortable around me
