Metal fans?

Have you ever been criticised for the music you listen to? Ok so here's what happened. Today in English cl I was listening to Carc and Cannibal corpse. The music was a little loud and people in my cl , including the teacher heard. They automatically labeled my music as Satanic. I tried to tell them not to generalize but they didn't listen. They called my friend ( another metalhead) a delinquent when the people who listen to rap are busy getting high and skipping cl.
