Whats the reason for the people to watch the Super Bowl this year other than because they like football?

Did millions of people who enjoy football and were not Patriots or Giants fans watch the Super Bowl to see the Patriots lose,how Eli would play or to see the Patriots go undefeated? I know people would watch it regardless due to their love for football but there is always that thought in the back of somebody's mind about what they really wanted to see during this game.Give me your opinion
