I had two guppies fall on the floor?

I accidentally knocked the fish on the floor. They landed on carpet. I scooped them up and glosed my hand so they wouldnt slide out. I put them back in the tank and now thay are swimming and doing fine. I put in some "tetra aqua" aquasafe" I hope I didnt damage their slime coats too bad. I know I may have damaged a little but is it something they can recover or did I basically kill my fish? Do you think they will be ok and live?
