How do i write an editorial?

i have to write and editorial for gov. cl, but i'm not exactly sure how to go about doing that. we're having stupid cl elections, and after the presidential candidates gave their speeches i received copies of each and am supposed to write an editorial. i've never written one before, and it doesn't have to be super professional or anything.. any tips?
