Has anyone used Credit Counselling Society of BC?

My husband and I are thinking of consolidating our debts with the above company? I was just wondering if anyone has consolidated through them and if they experienced problems after the four and a half years it takes to get your credit takes to get paid off? Is it possible to buy a house and things like that? They say it's fine but I want other feedback from the public?
