Does a puppy who's 7 weeks old normally bite A LOT?

When my dogs were puppies they would play-bite A LOT.I found that quickly substituting a nylabone or other chew toy, would distract the puppy. Also, when my pup would get really wild, I would put him in time-out in his crate for about five minutes. Of course, we'd start all over again, but after awhile, he got the hint.
